Candlelight and/or Highlight
There’s something about candlelight that changes the mood of a room. This photo was taken on Thanksgiving several years ago. The tiny flames lit around the room serve as highlights in much the same way as other light does.
The definition of highlight is: an area/spot that is strongly illuminated. In the case of candlelight, that strength increases as the surrounding light fades to darkness. In this picture it’s still afternoon. But, as night falls, the candlelight will grow in prominence and create the atmosphere that we associate with intimacy or romance.

Thank you! Believe it or not, my adult attorney son set that table, complete with napkin “fans.” He learned all that in high school, when he was a busser at a local, upscale restaurant. Who said guys aren’t good at domestic chores?? 🙂
