Late Autumn in the Park

And myriad leaves, on which the Summer wrote
Her blushing farewell, at my feet were strewn.
~Albert Laighton

Autumn Leaves

Red autumn leaves scattered around the base of a tree

October’s the month
When the smallest breeze
Gives us a shower
Of autumn leaves.
Bonfires and pumpkins,
Leaves sailing down —
October is red
And golden and brown.
