As a budding photographer, with very minimal training and experience, I’m always looking for a great shot. I had a digital photography class in 2011, but it was mostly Photoshop editing.
I took this on an early morning bike ride at my beloved beach. I thought the sky looked especially pretty and I used the rule of thirds. It was taken with an iPhone 6 and I used the Process filter.
I’m going to do Photo Finish Friday every week and feature a picture that I’ve taken. On occasion I might use one that a family member has taken. I invite all the photographers/bloggers out there to offer suggestions and constructive criticism, so that I can learn more about this great hobby.
I thank you in advance for any help you can offer! ~ L

I very much love the image. I’m not sure about the filter though. Fading might work really well, but here possible beautiful color contrasts are washed away by the dominance of the blueish filter. Just a personal opinion though – it makes me curious about the original shot. (And I’m a complete beginner when it comes to photography, I know what I like, but it’s rare to achieve it myself :D)

Thank you for the feedback! This is exactly what I need to hear as a novice. I will do some comparing and see what looks “best.”
